Sinful Book Reviews

I love romance and erotica. I read a good bit of MM romance and BDSM romance and erotica.

Heist Society by Ally Carter

Heist Society - Ally Carter

I’ve seen so many people review this and I decided it was time I see what all the buzz is about. I was browsing around the audiobooks in the teen section at the library and spotted it. Pefect! A new book for me to listen to during my commute. I finished it in a few days (that tells you how long my commute is). It wasn’t just my long drive though. I couldn’t get enough of this book. I was desperate to know what would happen next. I often sat in the car a little too long, listening.

Kat is great. She’s a relatively normal girl, you know, except for the thieving. What I mean is, she’s calm and pretty laid back. I think she’s really cool. I also really love Hale. I think they really compliment each other. It was nice to see those special moments between them. They really understand each other. They throw down their walls when they’re together. I liked that about their relationship.

Ok, all the thief talk was really entertaining. I loved listening to their scheming and I wish I could fly around the world on a moment’s notice like that. I guess that’s how it goes when you’re best friends with a millionaire.

The narrator was perfect. She sounded the right age and she did a wonderful job. This might be another one to put on my list of narrators to check out. I’d love to listen to her read another YA novel sometimes.

There wasn’t anything particularly amazing about this book. It was well-written, had good characters, and a well-paced plot. It was your every day young-adult novel. I think what makes it stand out is the originality of the plot. I’d be happy to read another book by Ally Carter.
